little red table

This white table was cute in white too but since I am changing color schemes in my home I wanted a red table. I love Annie Sloan Chalk paint in Emperor’s Silk. See the pictures of the painting process with no wax, then dark wax added which will mute the red into a beautiful rustic red.

Mini black board wall in kitchen

I took this small painted area on the wall and turned it into a mini chalk board. I use it for last minute shopping reminders and also for my weekly Menu. It’s very handy and takes up just a portion of the wall. Very cute and convenient too. Started by masking off area. Finished with 3 coats Annie Sloan graphite chalk paint.

powder room pic and misc “Old White” accents

It has been years since this little bathroom has seen any love and since finding this old pic at a yard sale, I wanted to change up the color a bit in this small hallway bath. As you can see the 3 small mirror frames were brown, gold tp holder and towel bar (which I still need to paint) and frame of “powder Pic” was ‘70s blue…are now all painted in Old White Anne Sloan. Still a work in progress but it’s amazing how just changing color slightly can brighten it up a bit. 3 Small mirrors & tp holder...

Hall table cabinet gets a fresh new look

It was time to change up this hall table cabinet. I liked it in brown too but I think color just adds a little life to it. Used A.S. Old White & Duck Egg and 1 coat soft wax.

Bathroom cabinets chalk painted "Old White"

Just completed my first bathroom cabinet painting project. I really like how it turned out. The cabinets were not bad to begin with just a bit dated. They were the original honey oak color from when my home was built in 1989. I chose Annie Sloan, Old White chalk paint. I used 2 coats of paint & 2 coats of clear wax. I did not distress at all as I needed a crisper clean look for the bathroom. I had finished painting last week but just got the knobs on today which completed the look I wanted. Check out how it looked before and during the process: _____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ BEFORE _____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ DURING-1st Coat and without knobs: ____ ______________________________________________________ COMPLETE WITH KNOBS:

Painted Pub Table & chairs

This Pub table set needed a fresher color. I changed out the barstools and painted the top & stool legs in Anne Sloan “Duck Egg”. Topped off with clear wax and it's good to go.

My first "Duck Egg" projects-this colors a keeper

I really wanted to start in the kitchen with this color. The idea is to add splashes of this color to bring out the similar color in the blinds. I started with 2 small items on the counter that were light wood. I used Annie Sloan "Duck Egg Blue" and then 1 coat of clear & 1 coat of dark wax. Funny thing is I think the color looks green. I like how these turned out and I will be painting a table with this color. Before & After:
